This morning, you’ll dock in Kehl and be transferred across the river to the medieval town of Strasbourg, the European capital and capital of France’s Alsace Region. This Alsatian town boasts a UNESCO-designated city centre, a grand Gothic cathedral and half-timbered houses. Admire the many highlights of this destination during a walking tour including the Maison Kammerzell and the canal network that weaves through Petite France, before spending some time at leisure soaking up its charms.

Enjoy some time at leisure on board this morning where you could unwind on the Sun Deck or head to the on-board wellness centre for a sumptuous treatment or two. Relax as you meander your way along the Rhine River, passing the confluence of the Rhine and Neckar, to Mannheim. From here, you’ll travel by coach to Heidelberg, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about how this picturesque metropolis became a UNESCO City of Literature, having inspired the likes of Mark Twain and William Turner with its historical setting. Find your own inspiration among its alluring landmarks including Heidelberg Castle, one of the most impressive Renaissance ruins in Europe. Lose yourself amongst the labyrinthine cobbled streets and savour a sumptuous wine tasting or, if you’re feeling more active, hike from Mount Königstuhl to Heidelberg.

Today you’ll cruise to the 2000-year-old town of Koblenz, a fairytale destination poised on the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Accompanied by a local guide, take a tour through the town, touching on the twin-towered façade of the Church of Our Lady and the Deutsches Eck or the “German Corner,” where you’ll find a monument for unified Germany. You’ll also enjoy a journey by cable car to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress where you’ll be captivated by exceptional views across the landscapes from its glorious hilltop position.

Steeped in history, Cologne is a 2,000-year-old city and the region’s cultural hub. One of the oldest cities in Germany, it’s famous for its 12 great Romanesque churches – more notable is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Cologne Cathedral, known for its gilded medieval reliquary and sweeping river views. Discover its magnificence during your included tour where you’ll also venture into the heart of the stunning Old Town. Back on board, join friends in the Horizon Bar & Lounge for a pre-dinner drink, followed by a movie in the stylish cinema, before retiring to your comfortable accommodation for a restful night’s sleep.

The Dutch city of Amsterdam is known for its picturesque canal system, colourful tulips, 17^th-century architecture and cosy cafés. Along with its historic facades you’ll discover the fascinating Rijksmuseum, a stone’s throw from the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. This morning, you’ll have a choice of fabulous excursions to choose from in which to better explore the city. Grab a bike and head out on a tour to Waterland where you’ll learn about how the water is reclaiming Holland as you journey through quintessential Dutch surrounds of traditional villages and windmills. Or wind your way along Amsterdam’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed canal network on a glass top canal cruise. This evening, your cruise will be brought to a fabulous close with a farewell dinner on board.

Following your overnight in port, this morning you’ll enjoy one final breakfast on board and bid farewell to your fellow guests. You’ll then disembark and transfer to the airport or train station, taking fond memories of the Black Forest region and the riches of Strasbourg with you.
